The demon was a doctor of sorts. He required a body part and an emotion from each flock. Angel Devil was already dead before I got there, but I heard that he wanted to make sure that his body parts couldn't be taken.

Think of it as... refusing to participate.

Anyway, I heard from Shadow Fiend that one or more Rose members has an exploding seed embedded in their heart. It'll be triggered next time they feel their stolen emotion — fear or secondhand embarrassment, in their case. I'd guess that it's the same for Daffodil, but for panic.
