People are supposed to feel fear like that when they're looking at a killer. So? What makes you abandon your fear...? What is it, about you, that you make that kind of choice? What do you get? I give people things all the time because it means I'll get what I want, in the end. Or at the very least, I make them think I will. I'm good at it.

It's what makes me happy when I figure out that piece making people tick. Maybe I've gone tame, in the future, and that's why you're around... but it's not like the blood's coming off.

It's really humiliating that you saw me like that... Wandering around like a stupid doll that needs directing. But even so...

...I wanted to show you I liked how you treated me, before. So I went snooping. But I feel like I understood even less, doing that. Then we started talking, and...

I... hate even more how it feels... when someone gets that look like they're worried for me... like I'm in over my head. I really like angry, better. If I'm only here for a little while, I don't wanna spend it feeling like that.

I think I still um… The older you and I are still learning to get along in some ways, so um, reading will only help so much… Sometimes he acts more like the younger yous than like you.

But I don’t— want you to feel like I don’t think you’re capable. Don’t want to be angry at you either. Am angry enough at whoever… made you have to kill or perform to survive. Made happiness something you need to sneak around.

[he’s not sure how much of this snuggling is practiced, either. the older one doesn’t like touch like this… But it’s a gift he’ll accept. muffin chirps a small purr.]

Oh! No, no no no! I'm not killing all the Gaians! They NEED to be alive! What am I going to do sitting around on an empty planet all the time? --If I wanted that, I'd be trying to go back to Terra. Pffft!

Sure, I was made to kill them. But that means their lives are mine to decide what to do with, right?
So, I'm keeping them. ...I just have to kill my Master, first. And... mayyyybe... some other poor souls, here and there, but, you know... I'll be the reason there's a Gaia left at all, one day. I'm a merciful angel after all.

I'm just gonna kill... each and every body that ever made me have to act like their little dog, that's all.
